Many companies spend a great deal of money on promotional flyers, folders, leaflets and exhibition stands but they are not getting the most out of the marketing budget because they are creating things that people either ignore or throw away. Your marketing needs to compliment the customers' needs or they will ignore it completely. Your flyer needs to offer information that is on the customer's mind or they will toss it to the ground without reading it. If you exhibition stand is not someplace that is complimentary to what a customer needs then they will walk right by it.
If you sell pencils then you want to set your exhibition stand up near the stationary aisle in the store or else it will get ignored. If you sell computer accessories then you need to create flyers that enhance how your product can assist the customer in their daily computer use and then find a place where people are discussing or buying computers. If you force people to read a lot of text prior to getting to the point then they will discard your folder as fast as they picked it up.
